Life, goes on
Saturday, October 21, 2017 • 5:01 PM • 0 comments She has left.I remember it was Sunday. Last day of May. I remember she was in pain for a while. I remember she could not longer speak. I remember my Grandmother, and she left quietly after every one of us came to say goodbye. You never really forget someone, or get over someone. You just choose to keep them in a corner of your heart and mind. For some of them, you take them out and flip through the memories like a photo album. For others, you just brush the thoughts aside and get on with life. I thank God for the blessings in my life, and for the good things to come. Amen.
SONG OF THE MOMENT
I'm never gonna let you close to me
Even though you mean the most to me 'Cause every time I open up, it hurts So I'm never gonna get too close to you Even when I mean the most to you In case you go and leave me in the dirt But every time you hurt me, the less that I cry And every time you leave me, the quicker these tears dry And every time you walk out, the less I love you Baby, we don't stand a chance, it's sad but it's true I'm way too good at goodbyes Labels: 2017, death, emo, God, grandma, health, life, love, memories, peace, Sam Smith, songs, time, too good at goodbyes the tiny dusty corner of my heart and mind

it's funny how many years it has been
still there are so many little things that make me think of you
every little thought of you makes my tender heart ache alil' more
i often wonder if you would think of me too
if your heart beats alil' slower whenever the very little things remind you of me
if you still miss the good times we've had
if.
so many things i might have regretted, but i think that part of my youth, with you and me, will always be the one regret, the one memory, the one i'll always remember, bittersweetly, you.
God bless my tender heart and the love and grace I'll receive again. Amen.
"Heart Beats Slow" by Angus & Julia Stone
Well I heard you were
You were lying About how brave you are Well I heard you were You were still trying Trying to get back to the start No, he won't let it into the kitchen No, he won't let it into the house No, he won't let it through the front door 'Cause it's burning her pretty little heart I'm gonna miss you Gonna miss you, girl And all of the things we could've done You said I move so fast That you can hardly see You said I move so fast How could you be with me? But my heart beats slow But my heart beats slow But my heart beats slow But my heart beats slow Well, I wish you, wish you well All the best Well, I wish you, I wish you well All the best No, he won't let it into the kitchen No, he won't let it into the house No, he won't let it through the front door 'Cause it's burning her pretty little heart You said I move so fast That you can hardly see You said I move so fast How could you be with me? Wednesday, August 13, 2014 • 1:02 AM • 0 comments Today I received a call from my aunt and it got me worried until mum came home. I'm grateful for everyday that my uncle is fine.Yet, I can't help but wonder about my own life and the journey ahead. I'm not sure how much longer I can keep hope up. Robin Williams passed away today. A friend posted an article about how the funniest or happiest person may be the most unhappy or depressed person. The funniest people I know always seem to be the ones surrounded by darkness. And that’s probably why they’re the funniest. The deeper the pit, the more humor you need to dig yourself out of it. Heard this song on my way home from gym and it become my ear worm. So meaningful and kinda expresses how I feel lately. 辛曉琪 遺忘

Sometimes you can fight for what you want, go out and ask for what you want, work for what you want with your hard work but by now, you'd have realised for a fact that some things are just beyond your control. You live everyday doing what you can, hopefully all the things that makes you happy, all the things that you love and living till that one day, when everything you deserve, everything you wished for, everything you prayed for and everything you've been waiting for, happens. It may not be perfect but it will be what you need. I would like to believe that He knows what is best for me and He knows what I want and that everything will be alright and that happiness I know now will be different but better in my future.
I love this song. Not only because I like Adam Levine but also the catchy tune and the meaningful lyrics. The movie 'Begin Again' seems like a tear-jerking nice show too...

Wednesday, July 9, 2014 • 11:52 PM • 0 comments Paris and London were wonderful. The memories were aplenty and I remembered mostly the good ones. They leave me teary. Why? I ask God as well.I can only trust and pray. Discovered new music today. Swedish band, Amarante's Don't Look Back. It was used as a background music for a video uploaded by a girl with depression and other mental illnesses. She chronicled her selfies for 6.5years from 14 to 21 years old. It was this song that struck me most. It was soothing for the challenging times I've been having. I kinda got lost in 2 relationships that meant alot to me. Wish me good luck for next Monday. It's a very very very important interview to me. God bless us all.
You oughta know
That the world isn't fair
This light doesn't owe you anything
It's in your hands
To make your own luck
Live your own life
You're awake
Well, count on me
When the world isn't kind
And it leaves you behind
All alone
Just remember dear:
You are a strong one
You will not let it
Knock you down
Don't look back
Just keep your head up
Don't look back
Just keep your head up
Don't don't don't look back
Just keep your head up
Don't don't don't look back
Just keep your head up

It's a rainy Sunday afternoon and it's been a long while since Sunday wasn't sunny. The smell of beautiful white lilies in my room makes me feel serene and sad. If there's anything you should remember, relationships are what makes anyone more humane. Kinship, friendship and love.
The other day while i was running, another thought popped into my head.
The rising sun and the setting one, are both beautiful and quick
in the blink of an eye, you'd have missed the beautiful sight
But it is the day and how you lived it that determines the experience as dusk draws near
and the great hope you feel for the next break of dawn.

Totally my style especially 'i need you' by M83. Reminds me of Polica. I quite like Snow Patrol's 'I won't let you go'. And the movie introduced me to Theo James. He's charming in the movie! ;)Random thoughts as I ran today...

Sunlight comes creeping in
Illuminates our skin We watched the day go by Stories of what we did It made me think of you It made me think of you Under a trillion stars We danced on top of cars Took pictures of the state So far from where we are They made me think of you They made me think of you Oh lights go down In the moment we're lost and found I just wanna be by your side If these wings could fly Oh damn these walls In the moment we're ten feet tall And how you told me after it all We'd remember tonight For the rest of our lives I'm in the foreign state My thoughts they've slipped away My words are leaving me They caught an airplane Because I thought of you Just for the thought of you Oh lights go down In the moment we're lost and found I just wanna be by your side If these wings could fly Oh damn these walls In the moment we're ten feet tall And how you told me after it all We'd remember tonight For the rest of our lives If I cannot forget, at least let me not remember. Such a beautiful 'cheem' movie. It's kind of emo-nemo inducing but it made me fall in love with Aimee Mann's songs in the show.
So true, so true...
It's not what you thought
When you first began it You got what you want Now you can hardly stand it, though By now you know It's not going to stop It's not going to stop It's not going to stop Till you wise up You're sure there's a cure And you have finally found it You think one drink Will shrink you till you're underground And living down But it's not going to stop It's not going to stop It's not going to stop Till you wise up Prepare a list for what you need Before you sign away the deed 'Cause it's not going to stop It's not going to stop It's not going to stop Till you wise up No, it's not going to stop Till you wise up No, it's not going to stop So just give up
God, please give me strength and wisdom to wisen up!
xoxo

It's not difficult to talk to people but to find a real connection is not the simplest thing ever. It's a God given gift for you to meet people whom you can connect with mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. I'm thankful for the people I've met and been able to share a bond with, regardless of how long the period of time we shared, it meant and still mean alot to me.
As years passed, I've grown jaded of meeting new people whom I feel distant from and still have to fill the distance between. I relish the chance encounters with people whom I meet and feel like we have known each other for awhile and are so comfortable to share everything with. This is connection. I've learnt to appreciate it alot.
When an old friend told me, how he isn't sure whether to reconnect with a disconnected relationship, my first response was 'not really', because she had chose to disconnect from him and had supposedly moved onto someone else. However, he shared that he hasn't felt that connected for awhile and he really misses being able to connect so well with someone. Indeed, it is not everyday that you meet someone whom you can talk to readily and easily. In retrospect, I should have told him to give it a second thought. Perhaps, he should give it another try.

I guess I'll just have to keep walking. I know I'll get somewhere, I hope it's a place with good laksa, avocado milkshake and a sweet, nice, cute guy to share with, and of course connect with! Ha!

Sunday, February 2, 2014 • 9:58 PM • 0 comments It hasn't been a pleasant start to my 28th year breathing and living. What to do? Suck it up and move on loh. Once again I'm caught up in this vortex of confusion. I know this is not good for me too. I should really walk away. Sigh. When will I be found and when will I find? The peculiar situation of misfits and misfortune.
A little white house
our lady peace - bring back the sunIt’s everything we've dreamed about I wanted you to know I’m hanging up my ego We shouldn't have to fight Or worry about the bills tonight I wanted you to know I want to be your shadow The mystery's gone So bring back the sun We’ll bury this hate And build it with love Living by the hour This grass wasn't greener I found I wanted you to know Well I dug you up a rainbow The mystery's gone So bring back the sun We'll bury this hate And build it with love And I know, I know I failed you And I hope, I hope we get through Sunny days again Mystery's gone So bring back the sun We'll bury this hate And build it with love Mystery's gone, Mystery's gone, Myster's gone, Mystery's gone.. Wednesday, January 1, 2014 • 3:13 PM • 0 comments First post of the year. Woke up feeling that 2014 might just be a better year than 2013! :) Cheers!2013 was not spectacular but I'm thankful for some of the wonderful days I've had. Met some nice people & made some happy memories together but I've also met some not so nice people whom I hope receives their bad karma (e.g., the warty fellas who stole my 2 iphones). There were memories that I reminisce all the time and it was bittersweet to know and accept that they're going on to better places. There were many bad decisions like having bad food with a lingering bad after taste. There wasn't much time to reflect and feel satisfied with things at work and feel appreciated. On a happier note, I've always loved looking back at my travels in the year and I'm so thankful to have had awesome time with my cool company in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Hawaii, Perth and Korea. I'm extremely thankful that everyone I love around me have not had very poor health and are all relatively well. The first song I thought of on the eve of new year was Oasis's Don't look back in anger. Nothing else says better than this song title. There's no use in looking back, I really want to move on and go forward and let love and happiness fill in the gaps in between.
To do list in 2014:
I hope and pray for health, happiness and love. <3

There's nothing in the way,
There's nothing left to say, There's just the perfect day, For us to use. There's nothing else to see, No better place to be, Now that you're here with me, And I'm with you. Why don't we wait here, I just want to stay here, Why don't we wait here, Now. So please don't move an inch, Don't ever change a thing, Just let me take this in, And hold it tight. Why don't we wait here, I just want to stay here, Why don't we wait here, Now.
The perfect song to listen as we look into each others' eyes and be lost forever.

As days go by, it is not the pictures that evoke these feelings deep beneath my veins. It is the music we shared.
Each time it rings through my ears, these images flash through my mind and that's when my heart skips a beat, my throat chokes, my nose sniffles and i shut my eyes as if to preserve the moment I had wanted to forget.

People live for the hopes and dreams they have as they strive to move forward and live each day. I find it difficult to imagine anyone living without hopes and dreams. Regardless of how minute these hopes and dreams might seem, they only need to be significant enough to that individual to provide him/her the reason to live.
It's heartening to listen to the aspirations of young children and heart wrenching to know that there are those without.
I dream of coming home to a big happy family with hearty dinners and funny conversations and children running around in the garden or the dinner table, adults chattering and plates clattering.
I dream of waking up next to someone who tells me he loves me every morning, who understands me in good times and bad, whom I will grow old together.
I dream of starting something on my own and passing it on as a legacy and in my small way, to be a small part of someone's life. Be it a cuppa, providing support to a child and his/her parent, create a masterpiece, giving life and fun to everyone around me.
Most of all, I dream of living life the way I want to, living life happy and fulfilling for myself and everyone I love. An ordinary life is definitely a life worth pursuing too.
And I will wait.
I should catch 'Dear John' some time. I like this song.
It's how I feel sometimes when things become out of proportions although it shouldn't be and I'm still staying right here.
By the way, I love my new blog template! :) I created all the icons on the right column and spent half a day to customise everything else. I know nothing about writing all that codes but I figured them out on my own and with Mr Google too.
