For all I ever wanted was for you to want me too

Stay in my heart
You can't always get what you want this time
That's how it is, oceans apart
Two wanderers have set their course to collide

She

Life will never be perfect.
There will always be ups and downs, good and bad, rich and poor.
Change is a constant but she needs a constant without the change.
She needs somebody to hold her, hug her, kiss her and tell her everything is going to be ok, not because he is there, but because they are together.
Alas, she needs someone who loves her and more importantly, she loves him back too.

And after so long, she thought things would change.
But she stopped and ran in reverse.

Only God can save her now.

don't let go.

Well you only need the light when it's burning low

Only miss the sun when it starts to snow

Only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missing home
Only know you love her when you let her go

'Cause when you're apart you don't want to mingle
When you're together you want to be single
Ever the chase to taste the kiss of bliss
That made your heart tingle
How much greener the grass is
With those rose tinted glasses
But the butterflies, they flutter by
And leave us on our asses

'Cause I love to feel love but I can't stand the rejection
I hide behind my jokes as a form of protection
I thought I was close, but under further inspection
It seems I've been running in the wrong direction

I've always loved songs with meaningful lyrics and a catchy tune.
I feel these songs.

“We fell in love, despite our differences, and once we did, something rare and beautiful was created. For me, love like that has only happened once, and that's why every minute we spent together has been seared in my memory. I'll never forget a single moment of it.”

Safe and Sound

Could you show me love?
Could you lift me up?
Could you show me what I want to see?

I want to be safe and sound.

note: and so original mtv cannot be embedded here so here's a recording of a live performance.

In this happy little house
Sunday, August 11, 2013 • 1:31 PM • 0 comments
People live for the hopes and dreams they have as they strive to move forward and live each day. I find it difficult to imagine anyone living without hopes and dreams. Regardless of how minute these hopes and dreams might seem, they only need to be significant enough to that individual to provide him/her the reason to live.

It's heartening to listen to the aspirations of young children and heart wrenching to know that there are those without.

I dream of coming home to a big happy family with hearty dinners and funny conversations and children running around in the garden or the dinner table, adults chattering and plates clattering.
I dream of waking up next to someone who tells me he loves me every morning, who understands me in good times and bad, whom I will grow old together.
I dream of starting something on my own and passing it on as a legacy and in my small way, to be a small part of someone's life. Be it a cuppa, providing support to a child and his/her parent, create a masterpiece, giving life and fun to everyone around me.
Most of all, I dream of living life the way I want to, living life happy and fulfilling for myself and everyone I love.
An ordinary life is definitely a life worth pursuing too.
And I will wait.

I should catch 'Dear John' some time. I like this song.
It's how I feel sometimes when things become out of proportions although it shouldn't be and I'm still staying right here.

By the way, I love my new blog template! :) I created all the icons on the right column and spent half a day to customise everything else. I know nothing about writing all that codes but I figured them out on my own and with Mr Google too. I'm so proud! *beams*

Whaddya think eh? =D

The land of beautiful beaches
Saturday, August 10, 2013 • 12:51 PM • 0 comments
The beach in Waikiki is beautiful and the first day I arrived, the weather was marvellous and the view was breathtaking. The skies were in a pretty shade of blue with wind swept clouds. The sea was covered in layers of turquoise, emerald, mint and aqua. The cool sea breeze blew across our faces while the magnificent sun beat upon our backs. I was in Hawaii, baby! Woohoo!

Snorkelling with many many fishes. I've never swam with so many different fishes before. It was an amazing feeling. :) So glad I bought my waterproof camera case.

Couldn't leave Hawaii without a few jump shots! =D

And of course, the emo shots. Sunsets are super gorgeous here and the sun goes down behind the hills so quickly, I felt fortunate to catch a glimpse of this setting.

So you sailed away, into a grey sky morning...

Hilton fireworks happens every Friday evening at 7.45pm. It was spectacular!

If you sit by the Hilton part of the Waikiki beach, you could feel your heart thump everytime the firework explodes into a thousand, million sparkles in the dark night sky. Everyone sat on the beach in awe. =) The feeling was immensely pleasant. It was romantic.

If you had watched it at Ala Moana beach park, it was further away but the fireworks painted the black canvas of night sky. You could admire everything so much clearly as if you were at a art gallery. Families filled the park, grandparents, parents, children, relatives, friends, lovers, all gathered with their mats, tents, deck chairs and big bags of food and drinks. Everyone was blissfully enjoying their bonding time, watching the beautiful night sky lit up by wonderful display of fireworks.

I also learnt to make my own lei. It was easy and fun and pretty. :)

This is the easiest method..
We need a special needle, rope string, 20 panda orchids and 30 ilima, thread them together through their 'hardier'parts and Viola! Beautiful garland or Lei, a symbol of affection. ;)

Drove by someone's 'animal farm' and decided to feed the cute little animals. Goats were super territorial and are really the alpha animals. None of the sheep or any other animals came near to me for food because the goats would shoo them away.

Pearl Harbour was not the most fun attraction but the most meaningful place for remembrance and reflection.

One of the best Japanese dinner I had in Oahu: Doraku
Indeed my road to tummy happiness.

If only there's just a simple, single road ahead to happiness for my heart, mind and soul.
