The movie was good, not fantastic, but good. What left an impression on is their soundtrack. Really love some of these songs. Totally my style especially 'i need you' by M83. Reminds me of Polica. I quite like Snow Patrol's 'I won't let you go'. And the movie introduced me to Theo James. He's charming in the movie! ;)

Random thoughts as I ran today...

  • I saw a middle-aged man dressed in tattered clothes driving an old dirty van. His passenger was an old lady who is probably his mother. They were chatting in the car. What went through my mind was that he could possibly be a very nice son who sent or went out with his mother somewhere. On the other hand, I was in a cab earlier today and in the conversation between my parents and the driver, he mentioned how unfilial his son is. He was upset that after sending his son to university and now that he's working, he doesn't really care about the family. His wife had passed on and he is living alone. Although he is living well, i guess he would appreciate more care and concern from his children.
  • What I thought about today was that filial piety is a value that does not discriminate. Anyone could be filial and anyone could be unfilial. It's kinda that like how we say that blood is universal. You could be rich, poor, tall, short, Asian, Caucasian, African, Arabic and we could share the same blood groups - O, A, B, AB. Blood does not discriminate. Okay, so maybe it's a bit of a stretch here but I just thought that an educated and well dressed man could be such a jerk to his parents and someone who is less educated and well-dressed could be such a wonderful child. I mean some of us don't even have conversations in the car with our parents. Of course, there are criminals who are good to their parents but harm others. But anyone can be filial and unfilial. Hold your judgement. It's what makes Men so interesting. #psychology!
  • Divergent makes me wanna be smart, selfish, just, kind and brave.
  • My baby nephew makes me wanna have kids like now.
  • Really really want a massive cool outdoor birthday/wedding/whatever party!
  • I like the Chopard Happy Jewellary/Watch collections.
  • We should be allowed to bring pets up public transport as long as we are considerate! We can have rules and regulations but really, at the end of the day, people should be guided by their own moral compass, have their own impulse control and take perspectives of others and be considerate to others. People need to learn that they have to have all these in order to build a good culture and civilization and earn trust. We trust each other to not hurt/harm/be nasty to others. Just like our government and civil service system. It's not 100% without corruption but we trust each other or at least majority, to uphold our code of conduct and ethics. So same for bringing your pets around, keep in others' in mind and make sure your pets are muzzled if they bark or are biters, put into bags, properly toilet trained, does not disturb others, keep in mind of those who may not want to be near dogs due to fear/religious beliefs/etc.
Most importantly, I'm thankful for all the good things that have happened and I trust that the not-so-good ones help me learn to be a better person and that things will eventually be good again. ;)
I hope and pray for health, happiness and peace. Amen.
